Etymology
Erotic cock imagery with *orz-, see *koxati (“to make love to”), *kokošь (“hen”), *kokotъ (“rooster”), Proto-Slavic *kočanъ meaning “head of cabbage”, “cob of corn”, “penis” across Slavic, and compare Proto-Slavic *kura (“hen”) and the expression Russian де́лать кому́-то ку́ры (délatʹ komú-to kúry) which is from French faire la cour but acquired a rooster-reminiscent double-entendre.
