Etymology

Probably from Proto-Uralic *ćorɜ- (drip, flow, ooze) + -og (frequentative verb-forming suffix). This, however, is uncertain due to the onomatopoeic nature of the word.[1][2]

  • IPA(key): [ˈt͡ʃoroɡ]
  • Hyphenation: cso‧rog

Vér csorog a lábán.Blood is pouring down his leg.
  2. (intransitive, literary, of smaller river or stream) to trickle, babble
  3. (intransitive) to leak (of a leaky container or defective mechanism: to allow liquid or grain-like material to pass through an opening that should be sealed)
