foamete
Romanian
Etymology
Probably from foame, or from an unknown Latin root derived from fames as a parallel formation to foame. Compare also the plural declension of words like cap > capete. Another possibility is that it was influenced in spoken Latin by fomes, fomitem. Compare Aromanian foamitã.
