Etymology
From Ottoman Turkish قهوه (kahve, “coffee”), from Arabic قَهْوَة (qahwa, “coffee, a brew”). Another explanation claims it traces back to the name of the Kaffa region of Ethiopia, which is an Omotic word.[1]
