malta
Finnish
Pronunciation
- Hyphenation: mal‧ta
- Rhymes: -ɑltɑ
- IPA(key): [ˈmɑltɑ]
Usage notes
- The Finnish usage is changing with respect to the Maltese. The preferred term has until recently been maltan kieli, but at least the European Union is using malta. The development is logical, since this is the normal way to form names of languages in Finnish.
