Etymology
From nāss (“nostril”) + -āls. Clearly not formed as such in Latvian, but borrowed and adapted from other European languages.

nazāls (nazālais comparative, nazālāks superlative, visnazālākais adverb, nazāli)
- (of voices, sounds) nasal (such that it is accompanied by airflow through the nose)
