sanë

Albanian

Etymology

From a South Slavic language, compare Serbo-Croatian seno Bulgarian seno (seno), ultimately from Proto-Slavic *sěno. The Proto-Slavic reflex *ě > Albanian a remains problematic.[1]

Pronunciation

  • IPA(key): [saːn]

Noun

sanë f (definite singular sana)

  1. hay
