From Proto-Albanian *tsak-tyo, from Proto-Indo-European *sokʷ-o- 'to utter, say'. Cognate with Latin inquit (says), Serbo-Croatian sok (accuser, prosecutor, witness), Old English sagu (a saying, speech).
