Etymology
From Proto-Albanian *tsikā, from Proto-Indo-European *ḱẽi 'to sharpen'. Compare Armenian սուր (sur, “sharp; knife”)[1]. Compare Illyrian sika. Thought to be the source of Latin sica (“dagger”). Also compare German Degen, Old Armenian դակու (daku, “adze, axe”).
