Etymology

From Proto-Albanian *dis-banja, prefixed form of *banja ‘to appear’, whence modern bëj ‘to do, make; (dial.) appear’. Related to Sanskrit भाति (bhāti, “to shine”), Old Irish bán (“white”)[1].
