Why Partnerships Are Key
CDC partners extend the reach of the overall AAA initiative and its various campaigns. National organizations, public health organizations, media and other partners help CDC to promote HIV/AIDS awareness, prevention, communication, testing, and mobilization goals wherever Americans live, work, play, worship, and learn.
What are the benefits of becoming a partner?
CDC provides partners with varying degrees of technical assistance, including the development of HIV/AIDS prevention materials for dissemination at local events, digital resources, capacity building, strategic guidance for national and local activities, and linkages to other national and local partners. The Act Against AIDS campaign partner relationships are managed by the National Partnerships Team (NPT), a multidisciplinary team within the Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention’s (DHAP) Prevention Communications Branch (PCB).
Joining Act Against AIDS
CDC works tirelessly to bridge the gap and coordinate efforts with influential entities across various sectors, including arts and entertainment, business, civic, education, elected officials, faith, health and media. These relationships provide partners an opportunity to actualize individual and/or organizational goals related to corporate social responsibility. Partners are selected primarily for their proven ability to reach specific populations at increased risk at the national and/or local level.

Who Our Partners Are
Each of our partners has their own unique objectives and audiences, tailoring their messaging by incorporating different communication tools and platforms to deliver HIV prevention messages. Several individuals and organizations have entered into mutually beneficial partnerships with the Act Against AIDS (AAA) initiative. There are also a select few organizations that receive funding through the Partnering and Communicating Together to Act Against AIDS (PACT) Funding Opportunity Announcement.
