Washington State Department of Health

For fiscal year 2009, the Washington State Department of Health received $1,347,513.

The Washington State Department of Health set forth the following goals to build or expand its biomonitoring program:

  • Focusing initially on measuring exposure to identified chemicals of concern in the general population: total and speciated arsenic (As), organophosphate (OP), and pyrethroid pesticide metabolites; and
  • Using the CDC method to assess the general population's exposure to 25 additional metals.
