Percentage of all hospitals participating in NHSN (sum of all NHSN HOSP categories ÷ 2008 AHA data)

• 3,250 ÷ 4,785 total hospitals (of 32* grantees funded for Activity B) =  66.7%

 

Activity C (# grantees = 27)

Number of grantees with 1 or more new or expanded HAI prevention collaboratives possessing all 4 key attributes of a strong prevention collaborative (Multidisciplinary Oversight/Advisory Group; Staffing; Communication Strategy; Outcome Measurement System) = 26

All Grantees

Percentage of grantees that have a standardized infection ratio (SIR) for central line-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSIs) that is significantly less than 1 (among grantees that were funded for Activity C and have identified CLABSI as a prevention target, and that have submitted enough data to produce a reliable SIR; data from the time period January – June 2010)

• 13 ÷ 21 grantees =  61.9%
