Natural History and Prevention of Viral Hepatitis Among Alaska Natives (CDC-RFA-PS-13-001)
Period Length: 5 years
This cooperative agreement supports efforts to improve the health of Alaska Native persons disproportionately affected by hepatitis including researching viral hepatitis outcomes and effectiveness. The project has two principal aims: 1) to improve efforts to prevent hepatitis A and B through vaccination and 2) to study interventions to reduce illness and deaths among people living with hepatitis B and hepatitis C.

Funding for the fifth (and final) year of the project is expected to be approximately $131,522.
