University of California, Irvine Libraries - Southeast Asian Archive
The Archive collects materials relating to the resettlement of Southeast Asian refugees and immigrants in the United States (and to a lesser extend, Worldwide), the boat poeple and land refugees, and the culture and history of Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. There is a special focus on materials pertaining to Southeast Asians in Orange County and Califronia.

Columbia University, Institute of Latin American Studies (ILAS)
ILAS is the center for Latin America policy development and research at Columbia University. The institute is housed in the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), which provides students and faculty with access to the resources of one of the major policy institutions in the World.

Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU)
HACU is committed to Hispanic higher education success in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Latin America, and Spain. HACU is the only national educational association that represents Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs). HSI Participating HACU Members

Hispanic Serving Health Professions Schools (HSHPS)
HSHPS is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established in 1996 as part of the HHS Hispanic Agenda for Action initiative, with the intention of addressing the mounting public health issue of providing quality and culturally competent healthcare to Hispanics living in the United States. HSHPS supports the missions of Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs) in the United States. OMHHE funds a Cooperative Agreement with HSHPS to "enhance research and capacity building" in these institutions. All medical schools and schools of public health in the United States with a minimum proportion of Hispanic students are eligible for membership. Member Institutions

UCLA, Latin American Institute (LAI)
Established in 1959 at UCLA, the Institute is committed to excellence in its exchange of knowledge with students, specialists, and the surrounding community, and equips leaders and scholars with the information and skills required for understanding complex Latin American societies.

UMass, Mauricio Gaston Institute for Latino Community Development and Public Policy
The Gaston Institute was established at the University of Massachusetts, Boston, through the initiative of Latino community activitsts and academicians in response to a need for improved understanding of Latino experiences and living conditions in Massachusetts. The institute informs policy makers about issues vital to the Commonwealth's growing Latino community and to provide this community with information and analysis necessary for effective participation in public policy development.

American Indian Higher Education Consortium (AIHEC)
AIHEC is a professional association for Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs) governed by each member institution.

Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs)
The Tribal Colleges and Universliteis (TCU) initiative was established by the White House Executive Order 13021 on October 19, 1996. Since the Tribal College Movement began i the late 1960s, the number of TCUs has grown. All of the Tribal Colleges are members of AIHEC, a professional association governed by each member institution.

Pacific Biosciences Research Center (PBRC)
As part of the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii, Manoa, PBRC encourages and fosters research in diverse fields of biology and medicine. PBRC researchers, most of whom are also affiliated with academic departments, provide training for graduate and undergraduate students, with a special emphasis on minority research opportunities.

As part of PBRC, the Research Centers in Minority Institutions (RCMI) program expands the national capability for research in the health related sciences by providing grant support to predominantly minority institutions that offer the doctorate in the health professions or in a health-related science.

Morehouse College, Public Health Sciences Institute (PHSI)
The PHSI is a program in the Division of Science and Mathematics, and the only undergraduate program with a concentration in public health in the Atlanta University Center (AUC). Its primary goal is to better prepare underrepresented minority students for entry into graduate programs at schools of public health with special emphasis on the quantitative areas of biostatistics, epidemiology, and occupational safety and health as well as health policy & management, health promotion & behavior, environmental health science, nutrition, global health, maternal & child health, and industrial hygiene.

Morehouse School of Medicine, National Center for Primary Care (NCPC)
The NCPC is an academic research, training, and resource center focused on promoting excellence in community oriented primary care and optimal health outcomes for all Americans, with a special emphasis on eliminating health disparities and improving health outcomes in underserved populations. Our key constituency group is the clinicians who serve underserved communities or vulnerable, high-disparity populations.

Morehouse School of Medicine, Prevention Research Center (PRC)
The PRC is one of a network of academic research centers funded by the CDC to achieve local and national health objectives focused on gaining knowledge about the best methodologies for solving the nation's obstinate health problems. These centers engage in interdisciplinary applied prevention research in collaboration with community partners; federal, state, and local health and education agencies; and other universities.

National Association for Equal Opportunity in Higher Education (NAFEO)
OMHHE Partners with NAFEO to enhance and stregnthen the capapcity of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to participate in Federally-sponsored programs.

Southern University and A&M College, Baton Rouge (SUBR)
SUBR coordinates and publishes the HBCU Capabilities Directory, designed to enhance and strengthen capacity of HBCUs to participate in Federally funded programs.
