Purpose: HIA of three planned coal gasification plants that were being considered in the Green River District. The HIA’s goal was to project the health benefits and consequences of these plants, identify how they are influenced by public policy, and make recommendations to decision-makers. As part of the HIA, a CASPER was conducted to assess perceived health benefits/risks of the coal gasification plants as well as health status of the community.
