March 31, 2015 - CDC leading $185 million efforts to fight HIV among gay, bisexual and transgender people
Today CDC announced more than $185 million in HIV prevention funding for gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (MSM) and transgender people who have sex with men, with a particular focus on addressing the needs of MSM of color. The multi-faceted strategy will respond to the severe burden of HIV among MSM and transgender people through three new programs enabling health departments and local HIV prevention partners to deliver the most highly-effective HIV prevention tools.
