Compendium of Materials for Noise Control

A compendium of commercial noise reduction materials and systems was developed for use by factory engineers, industrial hygienists, acoustical consultants, and others engaged in noise control. Information on the availability of noise control products, their characteristics and specifications, and their supply sources is included, along with a discussion of operating principles, uses, and limitations of the products. Applicable noise control standards are provided. Tabulated sound absorption coefficients are presented for various types of mufflers, silencers and ducts.
