Burns with an intense flame. In order to prevent eye injury do not look directly at magnesium fires. Reacts violently with fire extinguishing agents such as water, carbon dioxide and powder. Explosive limits, vol% in air: (LEL) 0.03 kg/m3. Card has been partly updated in October 2005. See section Emergency Response.
