Depending on the degree of exposure, periodic medical examination is suggested. The symptoms of asthma often do not become manifest until a few hours have passed and they are aggravated by physical effort. Rest and medical observation are therefore essential. Anyone who has shown symptoms of asthma due to this substance should avoid all further contact with this substance. Specific treatment is necessary in case of poisoning with this substance; the appropriate means with instructions must be available. The relation between odour and the occupational exposure limit cannot be indicated. Rinse contaminated clothes (fire hazard) with plenty of water. Benzofur D, Developer PF, Fourine D, Pelagon D, Orsin, Ursol-D and Vulkanox 4020 are trade names. Card has been partly updated in April 2005 & October 2006. See sections: EU classification, Emergency Response, Occupational Exposure Limits.
