ERGONOMIC INTERVENTIONS IN SHIPYARDS
Hazard: Inappropriate work table height may cause unnecessary stress to worker's back, shoulder and neck while performing a task at the wrong height. Most work should be performed at about elbow height.
Solution: "Adjustable" workstations do not have to be expensive (see photo). However, wood blocks should be secured to each other and to the table legs to prevent table from becoming unstable.
