TOTAL WORKER HEALTH
Partnerships
Partnerships are cornerstone to NIOSH and the Office for Total Worker Health. Together, NIOSH and partners support U.S. economic strength and growth by moving research into practice through concrete and practical solutions, recommendations, and interventions for the building of a safe, healthy, and capable workforce. Our partners represent labor, industry, academia, government agencies, nongovernmental organizations, and professional organizations both domestic and international. Input from our partners and stakeholders helps in setting research priorities, conducting research, implementing interventions, and translating scientific knowledge.
Our partners include the NIOSH-funded Centers of Excellence for Total Worker Health, NIOSH Total Worker Health Affiliates, and collaborators in research, translation, and other activities. While not an exhaustive list, the examples below help portray the value and variety of these partnerships.
Centers of Excellence for Total Worker Health
NIOSH funds six Centers of Excellence for Total Worker Health to examine the integration of worker protection with policies, programs, and practices to advance worker safety, health and well-being.
NIOSH Total Worker Health Affiliates
The mission of the NIOSH Total Worker Health Affiliate Program is to foster an integrated approach to protecting and promoting worker well-being through collaborations with public and not-for-profit organizations.
Other Collaborations
Our collaborators help NIOSH achieve its mission of producing new scientific knowledge and transferring and translating the knowledge into effective prevention practices adopted in the workplace.
