Use of Culturally Focused Theoretical Frameworks for Adapting Diabetes Prevention Programs: A Qualitative Review

This flow diagram illustrates how culturally adapted diabetes prevention intervention articles were included for data extraction and analysis. A total of 54 diabetes prevention intervention articles were first identified by searching for key words and an additional 4 articles were identified through a supplemental search. After removing 2 duplicate search results, 56 diabetes prevention intervention articles remained valid for assessing eligibility. Of those 56 articles, 27 were excluded because their subject matter was not related to cultural adaptations of diabetes prevention interventions (n = 26) or the publication date was outside the search parameters (n = 1). A total of 29 diabetes prevention intervention articles were included finally in data extraction and analysis.
