About
The places where people live, work, and play greatly impact their health. We can improve America’s health by working across government agencies and with private partners to create healthy and safe communities. The National Prevention Strategy (Strategy), released June 16, 2011, aims to guide our nation in the most effective and achievable means for improving health and well-being. The Strategy prioritizes a Health In All Policies (HiAP) approach by integrating recommendations and actions across multiple settings to improve health and save lives.
The Health In All Policies Resource Center supports a collaborative approach to health promotion that recognizes the importance of including health considerations when making decisions about things like transportation, education and other areas that impact our communities. The Resource Center was created to house practical and engaging HiAP tools and resources to achieve better health for individuals, families, and communities. The use of filters allows the user to build an individualized search based on a specific public health focus, geographic scope, and/or sector.
