Streptomyces violaceochromogenes is a bacterium species from the genus of Streptomyces which has been isolated from soil.[1][3][4][5] Streptomyces violaceochromogenes produces cinerubin x, cinerubin y, arugomycin and viriplanin D.[6][7]
