This wikiHow teaches you how to add a channel to your chats list on Telegram, using a desktop internet browser.
Steps

1Open the Telegram web app in your internet browser. Type web.telegram.org into the address bar, and hit ↵ Enter or ⏎ Return on your keyboard.
- If you're not automatically logged in to Telegram, you will have to provide your phone number, and verify your account via SMS.

2Click the Search bar. The Search bar is located at the top of your chats list in the upper-left corner of your screen.Advertisement

3Type @ into the Search bar. All channel names start with an @ sign.
- If you skip this part, the channel you're looking for might get buried under other contacts and messages in your search results.

4Type the channel's name following the "@" sign. Matching results will show up below the Search bar as you type.
- Consider adding the Telegram Channels Bot by searching @tchannelsbot. It will make channel suggestions, and help you explore new and interesting channels.
- You can also look up channels at online libraries such as reddit.com/r/TelegramChannels, and tlgrm.eu/channels.

5Click the channel you want to join. Find the channel you're looking for in the search results on the left-hand side of your screen, and open the conversation.

6Click + JOIN at the bottom of the conversation. This button is located at the bottom of the channel's chat conversation. It will add this channel to your chats list.
