- The New Jersey Devils first-round pick will go to the San Jose Sharks as a result of the trade on February 26, 2023, that sent Timo Meier, Timur Ibragimov, Scott Harrington, Santeri Hatakka, Zachary Emond and Colorado's fifth-round pick in 2024 to New Jersey in exchange for Shakir Mukhamadullin, Nikita Okhotiuk, Andreas Johnsson, Fabian Zetterlund, a conditional second-round pick in 2024, a seventh-round pick in 2024 and this pick (being conditional at the time of the trade).[38] The condition – San Jose will receive a first-round pick in 2023 if New Jersey's first-round pick in 2023 is outside of the top two selections[38] – was converted when the Devils qualified for the 2023 Stanley Cup playoffs on March 25, 2023.[39]
- The Sharks traded their 94th and 100th selection to the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for the 71st pick.[40]
- The Colorado Avalanche's fourth-round pick will go to the San Jose Sharks as the result of a trade on February 5, 2023, that sent Jaycob Megna to Seattle in exchange for this pick (being conditional at the time of the trade.[41] The condition – San Jose will receive either the Avalanche's or Kraken's fourth-round pick in 2023, at Seattle’s choice[41] – the date of conversion is unknown.
- The Columbus Blue Jackets' fifth-round pick will go to the San Jose Sharks as the result of a trade on July 8, 2022, that sent Buffalo's fifth-round pick in 2022 to Columbus in exchange for this pick.[42]
