The 2023 Asian Athletics Championships is the 25 th edition of the Asian Athletics Championships. It was held from 12 to 16 July 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand.[1][2] It is the first time that Thailand hosted this event since 1973. Held at the Supachalasai National Stadium in Bangkok, it also serves as a qualification stage for athletes to participate at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary. The previous edition that should have been held in Hangzhou, China, in May 2021 was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
