2023 Omani general election

General elections are scheduled to be held in Oman on 29 October 2023.[1][2] As the country is an absolute monarchy, the legislature is a purely advisory body.

Electoral system

The 85 members of the Consultative Assembly are elected from 24 two-member constituencies and 37 single member constituencies.[3] Political parties are banned, meaning all candidates run on a non-partisan basis.
