Ashiyan-e Shomali Rural District (Persian: دهستان اشیان شمالی), formerly Ashiyan Rural District, is in Fuladshahr District of Lenjan County, Isfahan province, Iran.[3]

At the National Census of 2006, its population (as Ashyan Rural District) was 4,576 in 1,245 households.[4] There were 5,790 inhabitants in 1,622 households at the following census of 2011.[5] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 4,812 in 1,367 households. The largest of its 18 villages was the Isfahan Defense Industries Complex (Persian: مجتمع صنايع دفاع اصفهان), with 2,453 people.[2]

In July 2013, Ashyan Rural District was renamed Ashiyan-e Shomali Rural District and became a part of the new Fuladshahr District. Parts of the former rural district were transferred to the new Ashiyan-e Jonubi Rural District of the Central District.[3]
