Ashtin Rural District

Ashtin Rural District (Persian: دهستان اشتین) is in Bala Velayat District of Bakharz County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Hemmatabad. Prior to its formation, its constituent villages were in the former Bakharz District of Taybad County.[3]

At the National Census of 2011, its population was 7,388 in 1,905 households, by which time the district had been separated from the county to establish Bakharz County.[4] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 7,677 in 2,103 households. The largest of its 15 villages was Hemmatabad, with 1,673 people.[2]
