Bahman and Soghad District

Bahman and Soghad District (Persian: بخش بهمن صغاد) is in Abadeh County, Fars province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Soghad.[3]

At the 2006 National Census, the region's population (as parts of Eqlid County and the Central District of Abadeh County) was 22,467 in 5,829 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 26,342 people in 7,166 households,[5] by which time Khosrow Shirin Rural District had been transferred from Eqlid County to Abadeh County.[3] At the latest census in 2016, there were 27,381 inhabitants in 8,134 households.[2]

In July 2018, Bahman Rural District, Khosrow Shirin Rural District, Bahman, and Soghad were separated from the Central District in the establishment of the new Bahman and Soghad District.[3]
