Council of Ministers of Nepal
The Council of Ministers (Nepali: मन्त्रीमण्डल, romanized: mantrīmaṇḍala) or Federal Executive (Nepali: संघीय कार्यपालिका, romanized: Saṅghīya kāryapālikā) is the executive body of the federal government of Nepal. The prime minister is the head of the council of ministers. The incumbent prime minister is Pushpa Kamal Dahal.[1]

Formation
According to the Constitution of Nepal, the Prime Minister is appointed by the President of Nepal. The President on the recommendation of the Prime Minister of Nepal forms a council of ministers consisting of members not exceeding twenty five in number from among the members of the federal parliament on the basis of the principle of inclusion.[2]
Removal
According to the Constitution of Nepal, the minister ceases to hold office by:[3]
- tendering resignation in writing to the Prime Minister,
- removal by the Prime Minister,
- vacancy in the office of Prime Minister, or,
- death.

Notes
- Shrestha was appointed Deputy PM and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport on 26 December 2022. His portfolio was changed during the cabinet rearrangement of 31 March 2023, and he is since serving as Deputy PM and Minister for Home Affairs.[6][7][8][9]
- Yadav was appointed Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens on 31 March 2022. His portfolio was changed on 7 May 2023, and he is since serving as Minister for Water Supply.[10]
