Central District (Andika County)

The Central District of Andika County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان اندیکا) is in Khuzestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Qaleh-ye Khvajeh.

At the National Census in 2006, its population (as a part of the former Andika District of Masjed Soleyman County) was 49,430 in 8,708 households.[3] The following census in 2011 counted 17,782 people in 3,674 households, by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of the new Andika County.[4] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 17,196 inhabitants in 4,270 households.[2]
