Central District (Harand County)

The Central District of Harand County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان هرند) is in Isfahan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Harand.[3]

At the National Census in 2006, the region's population (as a part of the former Jolgeh District of Isfahan County) was 15,632 in 4,212 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 16,485 people in 4,982 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, there were 17,541 inhabitants in 5,621 households.[2]

The district was separated from Isfahan County in 2021 to become Harand County. The new county was divided into two districts, with two rural districts and one city each, and the city of Harand was chosen as its capital.[3]
