Central District (Kahak County)

The Central District of Kahak County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان کهک) is in Qom province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Kahak.[3]

At the National Census in 2006, its population (as a part of the former Nofel Loshato District of Qom County) was 12,356 in 3,493 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 12,719 people in 3,818 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 17,106 inhabitants in 5,306 households.[2]

After the census, the district was separated from the county and divided into the Central and Fordo Districts, the former including the newly formed Kermejegan Rural District, and the latter containing the new Khaveh Rural District. The city of Kahak was designated the capital of Kahak County.[3]
