Central District (Margown County)

The Central District of Margown County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان مارگون) is in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Margown.[3]

At the National Census in 2006, the region's population (as a part of the former Margown District of Boyer-Ahmad County) was 11,978 in 2,268 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 10,342 people in 2,419 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, there were 10,533 inhabitants in 2,677 households.[2]

In October 2018, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Margown County[3]
