Suq, Iran

Suq (Persian: سوق; also romanized as Sūq)[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Suq District of Kohgiluyeh County, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 census, its population was 5,890 in 1,190 households, when it was in the Central District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 5,993 people in 1,390 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 6,438 people in 1,695 households,[2] by which time the rural district had separated from the district in the establishment of Suq District.[4]
