The Central District of Mashhad County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان مشهد) is in Razavi Khorasan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Mashhad.

At the National Census in 2006, its population was 2,679,938 in 704,045 households.[3] The following census in 2011 counted 2,991,644 people in 867,205 households.[4] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 3,280,368 inhabitants in 994,022 households.[2]
