Chah Morid District

Chah Morid District (Persian: بخش چاه مرید) is in Kahnuj County, Kerman province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Chah Morid.[3]

At the 2006 National Census, its population (as Howmeh Rural District of the Central District) was 10,491 in 2,180 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 11,226 people in 2,776 households,[5] by which time the rural district had been separated from the district in establishing Chah Morid District.[3] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 11,245 inhabitants in 3,069 households.[2]

After the census, the village of Chah Morid was elevated to the status of a city.[6]
