Chechens in France
History
The Chechen immigrants came to France as political refugees in the early 2000s, fleeing from the war in their home.[1] Today, there are approximately 67,000 Chechens in France, making it the largest community among the Chechen diaspora in Europe.[2]
The chechen diaspora of France live mainly in Nice and Strasbourg, the both french cities with the highter porportion of chechen people's in the country. There are also significiants chechen communities in Orléans, Rennes and Toulouse.
