Choghadak

Choghadak (Persian: چغادك; also Romanized as Choghādak and Chaghādak; also known as Chagbadak, Choqābak, and Choqādak)[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Choghadak District of Bushehr County, Bushehr province, Iran.

At the 2006 census, its population was 16,425 in 3,497 households, when it was in the Central District.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 18,072 people in 4,376 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 18,702 people in 5,147 households.[2] After the census, Choghadak District was established and divided into Doveyreh and Chah Kutah Rural Districts, with Choghadak as its capital.[6][7]

Language

The majority of the town is Farsi speaking with a sizable portion of Arabic speakers.[8]
