Choghamish, Iran

Choghamish (Persian: چغاميش, also Romanized as Choghāmīsh and Choghā Mīsh; also known as Choghā Mīsheh-ye Dowlatī and Shahrak-e Choghā Mīsh)[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Choghamish District of Dezful County, Khuzestan province, Iran, and also serves as the administrative center for Choghamish Rural District.

At the 2006 census, its population was 1,967 in 380 households, when it was a village in Choghamish Rural District.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 6,084 people in 1,783 households, by which time the village had been elevated to the status of a city.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 5,757 people in 1,770 households.[2]
