Crecy, Texas
Crecy is an unincorporated community located in Trinity County, Texas, United States.[1] According to the Handbook of Texas, the community had a population of 15 in 2000. It is located within the Huntsville, Texas micropolitan area.

History
The area in what is known as Crecy today was first settled sometime after the American Civil War by a family surnamed Terry. A post office was established at Crecy in 1899 and remained in operation until 1936. The community had 25 residents and two general stores in 1900. Its decline started in the 1930s. A store and a few scattered houses remained in 1990. The population was 15 in 2000.[2]
Geography
Crecy is located on Farm to Market Road 233, 11 mi (18 km) northeast of Groveton in northeastern Trinity County.[2]
Education
Crecy is served by the Centerville Independent School District.
