At the 2006 National Census, the region's population (as Doreh Rural District in the Central District) was 9,650 in 2,457 households.[3] The following census in 2011 counted 10,007 people in 2,634 households.[4] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 11,167 inhabitants in 3,027 households, by which time the rural district had separated from the Central District and established Doreh District, with two rural districts and no cities.[2]
