Ivar (Persian: ايور, also Romanized as Īvar; also known as Avar and Ewar)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Barkuh Rural District of the Central District of Kuhsorkh County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 2,627 in 668 households, when it was in the former Kuhsorkh District of Kashmar County.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 2,655 people in 812 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,753 people in 836 households; it was the largest village in its rural district.[2]

Kuhsorkh District was separated from Kashmar County in 2018 to become Kuhsorkh County and divided into two districts and four rural districts, with Rivash as its capital and only city.[6]
