Farahabad-e Shomali Rural District

Farahabad-e Shomali Rural District (Persian: دهستان فرح‌آباد شمالی) is in Rudpey-ye Shomali District of Sari County, Mazandaran province, Iran. Prior to the formation of the rural district, its constituent villages were in Rudpey-ye Shomali Rural District of Rudpey District.[3]

At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 9,670 in 2,586 households, by which time Rudpey-ye Shomali Rural District had been separated from the district, elevated to the status of a district, and divided into two rural districts. The largest of its 12 villages was Farahabad (now a city),[4] with 2,217 people.[2]
