Gavkhuni-ye Jonubi Rural District

Gavkhuni-ye Jonubi Rural District (Persian: دهستان گاوخونی جنوبی) is in the Central District of Varzaneh County, Isfahan province, Iran. Prior to the formation of the rural district, its constituent villages were in Gavkhuni Rural District of the former Bon Rud District of Isfahan County. Its capital is the village of Oshkohran,[2] whose population at the 2016 National Census was 1,463 people in 417 households.[3]

In 2021, Bon Rud District was separated from Isfahan County to become Varzaneh County and divided into two districts and four rural districts. The city of Varzaneh was designated as its capital.[2]
