Hurand County
Hurand County (Persian: شهرستان هوراند) is in East Azerbaijan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Hurand.[2]

At the 2006 census, the region's population (as Hurand District of Ahar County) was 22,528 in 4,744 households.[3] The following census in 2011 counted 21,089 people in 5,504 households.[4] At the 2016 census, the population was 20,701 in 6,154 households,[5] after which the district was separated from the county to form Hurand County.[6][2]
