Josh Seberry
Joshua Seberry (born 9 January 2005) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a defender for EFL League Two club Newport County.

Early life
Born in London, England, Seberry was raised in Monasterboice, County Louth and was a competitive swimmer[3] and track and field athlete in his youth.[4] As well as football, swimming and athletics, he has also held national titles in Taekwondo.[2] Seberry started playing football at Drogheda Boys at under-13 level.[5]
Career
Seberry played for the academy of Drogheda United before moving to Shelbourne's academy in 2022 where he featured in 4 of the club's 2023 pre-season friendlies[2] but ultimately never made a senior competitive appearance for either club.[1]
In July 2023, Seberry signed a two-year contract with Newport County following a brief trial.[6] He made his first league match-day squad for Newport on the 5 August 2023, being named amongst the substitutes against Accrington Stanley.[7] He made his debut for Newport on 8 August 2023, starting in the 3–1 EFL Cup first round win against Charlton Athletic.[8] He made his Football League debut for Newport on 15 August 2023 as a second half substitute in the 4–2 EFL League Two defeat against Crewe Alexandra.[9] In October 2023, he suffered a broken leg during a 3–0 defeat to Notts County[10] that would rule him out of action for four-to-five months with him requiring surgery.[11]

Seberry has been described as a "natural athlete" capable of playing right back or right sided centre back.[12]

Seberry is qualified to play for Ireland, England or South Africa.[13]
